I figured the 340 but with the composite construction I thought it might go for the 400. You guys really like the weight. Since I shoot a 100grn. head the 400 still might cut it?

I ran my easton shaft selector program and it told me that you will need a 340 spine with a 100 grain tip, 29.25 draw length and 70# for the FMJ's.

LikeI said earlier some are stiffer and some weaker. Always had to shoot the 75/95 gt. Some who've shot the Bemans used the 400. Theyare almost to stiff for me in the 340. Will not hit where the maxima's do.

I think you will find Eastons are very consistent in spine, won't argue about other brands but if they are spined and manufactured correctly a .400 spine should deflect.400 My FMJ's just hit lower than my CX Maximas, neither left nor right. I have shot 5 arrows of varying brands out of my Guardian and shot pretty decent groups. I was actually surprised, although it was at only 20 yards.

Was that with the large broadheads (1 1/8- 1 3/16)? I don't have much of a problem with points.

I just bought a dozen full metal jackets for hunting. I love'em. They are an all around better hunting arrow in my opinion.
