LX or Legacy
I shot several other new bows in the last couple of weeks and it is down to the Mathews LX or Legacy for me. I will be using it strictly for hunting. I have not shot the LX yet but am waiting for my local shop to get them in to make my final decision. My main concern now is the brace height. LX 6 5/8 compaired to Legacy 7 1/2. I would like any input on these two bows that I can get. Thanks.

My $.02 worth! You probably need to shoot both for confidence reasons. Personally I think people make way too big of a deal about brace height(I know the pro's and con's).I went from an MQ-1 @ 7.5" BH to an Ultra 2 @6 1/8" BH.I shoot just as well or better w/ the Ultra2. Biggest reason I'm going for the LX over the Legacy is I have heard the LX HP cam has a much smoother draw and shoots smoother than the Legacy. It is also a little faster and weighs slightly less.

Buckscent03,
Out with the old; in with the new.
Get the LX and don't look back.
It has the better limb pockets and cams.
That alone would be enough for me.
CBM SC is right on the money about brace height. It's WAY overrated!
It's not that important in a hunting or 3-D bow.
Most guys aren't good enough to realize that much of a difference.
If you want a target bow for Spot or Field shooting, you don't want a Mathews anyway.
JMO, if anyone doesn't agree. <img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>
Sag.

You southern boys don't need to worry about brace height....LOL
You will notice it, when you are bundled up in 10 deg. weather, and your shot of a lifetime misses by 4 feet because it slamed into your coat sleeve.<img src=icon_smile_shock.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

Rackattack, That's why you wear an armguard when you hunt no matter what brace height. I'll be glad to come hunt in 10 degree weather, it's got to be better than this misquitoe infested 95-100 degree SC s#@*!.

The LX is an awesome bow. The new HP cam is smoother than the Legacy plus I liked the back wall and valley better on the LX. The shorter brace doesn't concern me much either. This is an outstanding bow.

10 degrees, that seems awfully warm compared to some of the final days of the season here in Illinois. 6 degrees with 20 mph gusts, now that is cold.
