I'll 2nd the Scott Mongoose w/buckle. I bought mine in 99 and it still works great. I have wore out a few straps, but I do shoot a few times a week.

Bought a Scott Lil' goose this year, best move ever. Whatever you decide get a release with a buckle, velcro makes to much noise, and besides with a buckle you'll be more consistant with your draw length. I've found that velcro straps will vary with eachshot.

Try a Tru-Ball... They are very well made and smooth as silk. I personally like their Tornado model, which I have used for years.

I've had my most favorite release for nearly 56 years. Still works fine and I shoot better with it than with anything you can find on the shelf at the bow shop. Tough, quiet, self-repairing and I've never once lost it, or forgotten it and left it at home. Multi-tasking too. I'm using it to type this message, in fact.

Yes, there is a better release out there than the one your using right now, but you should go to the dealer stands at shoots and tryout their releases and find which one is the most comfortable for you.
