The best weight as said is the one you can handle. For accuracy that is the weight where you can control the bow throughout the shot sequence. A lot of people get on target and hold just fine, but they break down before they get the shot off. It is tough to tell the difference without some coaching. Fo deer alone, a beginer needs to go pretty light. There are many things you can do with the arrow to get more penetration.
