Frank,
I think the Patriot is out for you (I knew you were a 31" draw ) Your still a Gorilla......well at least a Baboon.

Anyway, the Patriot only goes to a 30" draw.....probably a limb deflection problem with that long of a draw on a bow with 44 deg. limb pockets.

I bet you could get a Mighty Mite and throw some 31" BK dual cams on it.......that would be about interesting!Maybe you'd have a 31" ATA bow that would do 340 w/ a 7.25" BH???

Your only options for BowTech bows at 31" draw would be the following (with estimated speeds behind)Unless you can get the factory to build something.

1. 2001 Pro 38 DC 6.8"BH ....approx 345-348fps +/-
2. 2002 Generation 3.2 w/ 7"BH......approx 325fps +/-
3. 2002 BKII 6.5" BH...approx 345-348fps +/-
4. 2002 Extreme Solo 7"BH......approx 325fps +/-
5. 2002 Pro38 SC 7"BH......approx 325fps +/-
6. 2002 Pro40 SC 6.75"BH....approx 325fps +/-
7. 2002 Pro40 SC 7.75" BH....approx 315fps +/-
8. 2002 Stalker 7.75" BH.....approx 312fps +/-

I'm tellin' ya.....if you shot the Pro38 DC , you'd be lovin' it too! How'd ya like to shoot 330fps at 60#??.....with that draw length you'd do it.

Ok, now throw a 420 grain arrow into that calculation and tell me what I would get...

Thanks for the effort guys. I can't argue with the fact that those bows are fast. And although speed isn't everything if I can get that speed without losing forgiveness......

I will keep an open mind.

Hey 5-Shot.......if that's the case maybe you should just TRADE your wife for a new BowTech......you know.... while she's still "holding her value"??!!

What exactly are you looking for in a new bow?.....They have one you'd like I'm sure.

By the way.......let me know when Rockey Mt Archery comes out with a 5" cut "Snyper".....with 88ft lbs of KE, I'm all over that one.
Any new BROADHEAD recommendations for me now?

Matt, I think she is "past her prime" LOL, I am pretty sure I want a bow between 35 and 38" AtoA around 4lbs or less, fast, with a brace height of 6" or more. To be hones Len In Maryland has got me realy looking hard at the Dartons. They realy seem to have a lot of great features, the Rampage looks almost perfect, then you come along and rave on the bowtechs!!!
No new broadhead recomendations yet, I do have a bonebuster and vortex heads to test, I just need to recable and retune the test bow. I also picked up a whisker biscut rest to play around with and compare the the Muzzy ZE. I think it will be intersting to compare the two side by side. Why don't you send me a bow or two to test for you for a few years, I don't want you to shoot somthing I wouldn't recomend. LOL

5-Shot,
I shot some of the Dartons.....they do shoot pretty nice.
To give you an idea about noise level of my Pro38 DC I was shooting right beside the shop owner who had a 27 or 28" 60# Maverick w/ recurve limbs, set up for indoor shooting 2613 target arrows and No silencers.
My bow at30" and 65# w/ my 370 carbons and also w/ no silencers sounded the same as his.(I didn't get to compare w/ mine at 70# cause' he wasn't shooting then)
He made the comment of how surprised he was at the low noise level for such a fast bow......It really is pretty darn impressive.

Matt,
I have a question regarding your comment that the Trophy Ridge sight "sucks" for indoor use. Why is that so? Although I don't shoot indoors at all, I have considered buying one for 3D and bowhunting. I'm just curious as to why?

Razorhunter.....It all has to do with visibility.
First off, the color of the top pin on the 3 pin model is yellow.....not the best for shooting at a gold bullseye. Next, as with all fiber optic pin sights, they just don't absorb artificial light very well at all.
Basically what you end up with indoors is a very faint gold dot trying to hold on a faint gold dot!!!

HOWEVER........take this same sight outside where it's intended and it's exactly the opposite. It's very bright and the aiming points nice and fine. Adjustablility is also a breeze. If you are buying it like you said for 3D/Hunting don't hesitate, you'll like it.
Didn't mean to scare you away.

Matt great report thanks for the heads up about this one.

If I only didn't have to be buying a truck right now for the wife I would be in busniess.

ive got the 2001 bk2 low brace {5.25} mabye i have goten used to a very harsh bow befor that {martin fury} but i thought the bk2 had a prety smooth draw. another hard fact to look at especialy for you guys that shoot those new fangled heads is the KE of these bows. im shooting at 327fps with a 425grn arrow this figures out to be 100 ft lbs of energery this is amazing if you ask me.
