Default Extreme VFT

Few question for those of you that have shot this bow.

1. How is the balance? Is it less top heavy than the 2002 Patriot?
2. How is the draw? What's the draw force curve look like?
3. How is the valley? Any room for creeping, can you relax without it taking your arm off?
4. How is the recoil? I assume it is much like the Patriots with the VFT.

Thanks
Toby

the EVFT I shot was awsome. 30" @ 70 with a 350 grain Goldtip was zinging them out in the 330's to be exact 335! man is was smoking.

the draw was good - better than bowtechs I had shot in the past. The new grip grows on you & feels good in the hand once used to it. the bow was nice to shoot. feels like most one cams designed for speed.

I'll be shooting one this year....as a matter of fact was ordered yesterday at the show!

oh on the recoil - yes it had some but not too bad & with a bit heavier arrow would be gone.

Really Guys this is a real nice bow, I have been shooting nothing but Mathews for 3 years and after shooting this bow it looks like a good time to make a change. Do I have a problem with the Mathews heck no but I kind of got the speed bug after shooting this bow! Once I get it I will do a formal report on it with all the goodies. <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

The people at Bowtech where great at the show, they really showed they are first class bunch of people!

So what's the major difference between the VFT and the patriot single cam? Orion how does the draw on the VFT and the patriot compare to the older mathews cams(pro cam,max cam.)The one big gripe I have with the mathews cams is the tendency to try and yank your arm out of socket if you creep a little.

CB,
I owned 4 mathews bows and I felt the same thing, the cam was gonna yank my shoulder off. They are great bows but not for my style of shooting. My MQ1 was THE quietest bow I ever owned bar none. I am anxious to shoot these BT's !!

the VFT was typical of a speed bow - I wouldn't sugest creeping too far forward! It does want to take off. My impression of the cam is that it was smooth but not as smooth as the cam on their wheely bow or the new LX by mathews. It was a good drawing single cam but retained most of the drawing properties of most single cams designed for speed. I like the cam better than the mathews cam that they use on the Ultra 2 & FX. It is sort of like those cams in drawing but a bit more gentle and a lot faster. really I loved the way the bow shot, like anything else give a spin before you buy! I will say you will be hard pressed to find a single cam that shoots the way the VFT did. Man it smokes & I just can't wait much longer to get mine!
