Default DC Patriot Problems

After about 100 shots, the bottom Cam is leaning, and almost touching the Limb undrawn. There are scratches in the limb so it is hitting the limb when I shoot. I guess I will see how good Bowtechs service is.

Regardless I am not going to keep this bow. The 65% letoff (feels like 50% to me) and I do not get along. I can't imagine pulling this bow back at 70lbs in a cold tree stand. If I do stay with the dually it would have to be a 60lber.

I struggled for hours with flyers all over the place, I never shot that bad in my life. By the time the leaning cam was found I was completely fustrated. I am hoping the cam was the cause of such awfull shooting.

I love the speed and the feel at the shot. At 60 lbs, 29" draw, 370 grn arrow it chrono'd at 295, nothing on the string but a loop. The hush kits on the strings flew off after about 50 shots.

Hmmm, interesting comments. Now I am really looking forward to putting the bow through its paces to determine whether or not your situation is unique.

RA
I just checked mine and the cams are still straight I have over 500 shots through it.
Yes I agree about the about the string silencers 1 of mine has long since been shot off but I dont know if it moved and got caught with the cam or not but I have put a set of cats whiskers on it.

As yet I have not had any fliers but the cam hitting the limb could be the cause of yours.
Keep us imformed

What seems to be the source of the lean if you don't mind me asking? Press that baby and take a look see would ya? I'm dying to know.

Sorry about your trouble Rack. I've been thinking all along I'd go with a 60 lb. when I get my P40DC. You've reinforced that.

Did you get any tech info (owners manual) with your bow?

Cheif.
There was a note with my bow explaining that there was a problem with the printers and the manuals would be sent as soon as BT got them.

I hate to hear you are having problems. Bowtech costumer service is great and you should have no problems getting the problem fixed.
As far as the let off goes the cams are most likly out if time with the cam leaning so badly and would make the let-off feel less, My Pro38 dual cam was out of time when I got it(bought the bow used) and it didn't feel anywhere close to 65% guess because of the over rotation of one of the cam but after I retimed the cams if feel like 65% actually I checked it and it was 67% by the scales.
Your bow might have been damaged in shipping. In the 2 years that my local bow shop have been in bisenuss they have received close to a dozen bows damaged for sure in shipping. I think all bow companies need to improve the proctection they give a bow for shipping, they all use basicly none and thoes boxes tend to get dropped and throwed and all the protection a cam has is a thin peice of foam and so card board. You got $1.00 or less worth of packaging(not counting the box) protecting a $750.00 new bow!!! Just don't add up to me.
SOrry about the rant. And hope you get your new bow fixed up!!!!!!!

RA..that sucks..on the bright side BT service is tops.

A couple of points

1) You can bet your bottom dollar a cam hitting a limb will cause flyers

2) Are you sure the letoff is really the problem? Did you get the shorter draw length modules yet?

I'm not trying to convince you to stick with something you don't want to, but I think you should let BT fix it, then get it set up PROPERLY, for you then make a decision.

At any rate I'll keep an eye out for the cam lean.

I snuck away for lunch guys...LOL...

RA, Take the bow back to your dealer and have him get an RA for it.

Also, the owners manuals will be ready to mail very soon.
