A dropaway rest should be up at full height by the time you are 1 1/2 -1 3/4 inches from full draw , no later. If your rest is coming up to full height any later than this it will drop too soon and that is when you will start getting arrows shooting lower and contact on your fletchings. The easiest way to set any drop away is to do it on a drawboard. Makes setting them up real easy.

Archer 2, you are correct for the exception of a QAD ultra rest. Those you want hitting the full upright position as close to full draw as you can get them, otherwise they wont drop fast enough.Trust me I thought I was smart and set it up just like any other drop away but it didnt work out too well. ![Wink](https://www.huntingnet.com/forum/images/smilies/wink.gif)
