G5 Optix ME noise?
Anyone out there using the G5 optix ME sight? I have been shooting it for a few weeks now and have come acrossa problem. I am noticing a pretty loud vibration/rattle when shooting, and even after tighteningeverything over and over again its still there. My brother has the same sight, and is having the same problem. If anyone else is experiencing this, or knows how to fix it, let me know. Thanks.

Yea, i've tightened everything down, and its still vibrating/rattling. I think the problem is in the individual pins and the adjustment screws for them. When I tap on each individual elevation adjustment screw with a wrench, it temporarily stops the noise, but after 5-10 shots it starts again. I'm gonna have to try to take it apart and see what goin on. Thanks for the info.....

Okay, this is what you need to do. Get some blue locktite, or some goat tuff thread locker (meant for hunting equipment) and put it on each screw then return it to t's original position. That should work.

The elevation screws work loose. There are 2 things that need to be done if you want to eliminate this problem.
The first is to go to the local hardware store and buy their smallest lock washers and take off the back plate, remove the lock down screw from each site pin and put a lock washer under the head of each one.
Step 2 is to ensure that the elevation adjustment screw is turned a little after you've locked the pin down so that it does not move at all. you can also add a small drop of goattuff or even super glue to where the screw and sight body meet.
This will take care of the problem.
Oh, I just found a new one yesterday. The screw cap for the LED will work loose over time.
