If you bought it new, like i bought mine new, i was wondering if you had trouble getting the rest bolt to thread at first? I am wondering if it is normal because the is in the threads. thanks a lot, Russ

I've had your problem with just about all the bows I put together, from Mathews, Hoyt, Martin, Clearwater, High Country, when they were out of the box. Just make sure you're not cross threading.

You could just run a starter tap (of the same size) through it to clean up the threads.
The reason I suggest a starter instead of a finishing tap is the starter tap would leave some paint and make the stabilizer fit on a little tighter. If you run a finishing tap through it, it could wallow it out enough that the stabilizer might loosen up after some shooting (unless you put some umf on it when putting it on).
