RE: Are Mathews drawlength adjustable bows?
You can get about 1" of draw length adjustment on the original max cam on the Conquest, Feather Max, Ultra 2, etc.
The Straightline Max cams (1and 2) are not draw length adjustable to any significant degree.
I bought a used Q2 XL which was advertised to be a 30" draw, but it had the cam of a 31" draw bow. It was too long for me. I would have had to replace not only the cam, but the string and cable as well. You can get cams on ebay most times if you know which one you need, but when I realized that I had to replace what looked like a brand new string/cable set, I sold the bow instead.
The construction of the Zebra string does not allow you to shorten the draw length much, and if you twisted the string to shorten the draw length, or twisted the cable to lengthen it, you would rotate the cam out of the position of timing that it is supposed to be in.
That is the situation as I understand it. Perhaps someone with more Mathews experience can give you a more complete answer.
Avoid the inevitable until it is absolutely unavoidable!
