Default these string stopper thingy's

Ya know I was gonna buy a Meanv string suppressor or what ever they are called, and I wish to take NOTHING away from him he is a nice guy and very helpful, witha great looking product.

But I work in an Aluminum Company..We run 6061 alloy.. Why not just make one myself. Heck I could bend it to whatever configuration I wanted or leave it straight.

So what's so hard about it? Am I missing something?

Who has one that can measure the diameter of the rod..What is it like .625" or so. I can easily thread it. What's the rubber stopper hicky, is something comparable?? Help me out here. I think I can do it all but Camo dip..I could paint and/or anodize.

If you've got the materials, equipment and the skill, ain't nothin' holding you back. For the rubber doohickey, how about a crutch tip?

So? The bigger the better. Not so much time spent adjusting the thing to get the string to hit it. Probably have to make an adapter to mount it onto the rod, but that's no hill for a climber.
