Vanes

RE: Vanes
I think that you will find most people on this forum will tell you to use Blazer vanes (they are 2 inches). The blazers steer broadhead tiped arrows very well, mainly becuase they have a little taller profile than 4-inch vanes. Give the blazers a try...you will be suprised!

RE: Vanes
Blazers are good and, I think, are the ONLY 2" vanes to consider. But they do not work for everyone or for every setup.
They are stiff and high profile, so some people have clearance problems with them, ie cable contact.
There is a limit on the size broadheads they can stabilize. I had no luck getting them to shoot very well with any broadhead more than 1 1/8" cutting diameter. Of course, mechanical broadheads pretty much make this problem moot.
Also, I believe they are more effective on arrows flying 250 fps and up than they are on slower ones.
I'm not sure I'd recommend them for someone who's still a bit green at this bowhunting stuff either. 4" vanes will do more to compensate for minor shooting errors than Blazers can, IMO.
