ICS hunter - accuracy problems?
Allright I don't think it's the arrow fault - I shoot the ICS hunter 400 series. I have a 30.5 inch arrow and am drawing 70 lbs. I shoot 100 grain tips w/ insert and 4 4" aae vanes (160) grains. I went and shot today and was very inconsistent. I got a new fletcher for christmas and was shooting my first batch of arrows I ever made (high offset). Well I cant get my new or old arrows to group at all. I usually shoot a 1.5" group at 20 yards and today it was like 6". So It's not the new fletching. Am I underspined and if so, would it cause my accuracy to go down the tubes? I have a drop away so It's not contact. SHould I lighten the weight down to 65 where I had these arrows tuned too. Then use the 340 series at 70 for hunting. Does new fletch style require retune or does increase in weight? All Help is welcome and any suggestions are much appreciated.

Sounds like you have already figured out the problem. In my opinion, the 400's are too light for the 70 pound draw weight, try lowering the poundage,or try your 340's with the draw weight at 70 and see how the 340's group. You might be under spined with the 400's.

I agree with ken rose and 3dmo. I am shooting 29" 340's at about 65# and I might just be a tad overspined although I am getting good results.
Question: What type of arrows were you shooting to get the 1.5" at 20 yard groups?
