Jason-
I wasn't bashing Mathews in the least, I was giving my predictions as to what I feel they must do to stay on top.<img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle> I really have nothing against the company itself other than it had a few "bonks" over the years technically IMO, but really not much different than other companies have had. Matt is a brilliant salesman, so I figure he will follow some path similar to those predictions above as IMO it would be simply wise marketing tactics to do so, that's all.
Sag--
Thanks. I had hoped someone would understand my thinking! <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>
Litework--
They haven't looked at it YET---maybe. (but I think they must have by now. <img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle> Everyone is "scrambling" in the industry right now because there is a new (re-vamped) design in town getting alot of notice, and every manufacturer wants a piece of that action!) Good shooting, Pinwheel 12

I'd bet we'll see longer risers and shorter limbs with steeper limb angles. What they need to do to get some of my money is to go to a modular cam with at least a 7.5 inch brace height with at least 330 IBO speeds and no rollers or suppressors or dampners. The last time I was at the local Mathews dealer they had probably 20 Mathews bows on the rack but not one of them was a 30 inch draw. Oh yes, side plates instead of a full wood grip.

That would be an awesome bow pinwheel , bears cabelgaurd ,dartons cam , might as well use martins bridged riser too , oh thats right they already have their cam ,then call it the newest "breakthrough" or "original" model .

If Matt was going to do anything other than continue the strictly one cam line in which Mathews is involved, he would have to start another company.
Let's see, he's already used McPherson and Mathews. The only thing left would be McMatt's. You could super size every bow for only $39 more.

RE: mathews 2003??
pinwheel my prediction is as follows.
1. new short bow (SQ2) with string dampers & roller guide.
2. new speed bow using a new cam with string dampers & roller guide.
I don't think we will ever see mathews make anything but a single cam bow, really why would they? itworks just fine for them & if everyone else runs off to do something else that is fine. mathews will still be the single cam people.
oh well I guess we just have to wait & see!

Pup, I think we could see a 30 inch riser with 40 degree limb/riser geometry. That would be very close to a 40 inch ATA for indoors and finger shooting. While hunting today with my 34 inch ATA bow, I couldn't see why I'd ever need anything shorter for hunting. I think the manufactures are getting carried away with short ATA bows for draw lengths over 28 inches. I believe 34 to 37 inches is better for draws over 28 for hunting accuracy.

I think you might see new risor design. Better grip!
I heard Jeff Hopkins is not shooting Conquest next year.
I beleive you will see good brace heigth bow with faster speeds.
Wouldnt surprise me to see Legacy xl.
Wont be long now. I ready for my new dealer bow.
