Default the "T" position

Hi everyone,
I've read in a magazine that we need to make a perfect "T" with the spine and the shoulders.
What does it change if i'm not doind a perfect "T"?

Thanks for helping me out! (I'm new in the archery world, i'm learning a lot on this forum!)

Francis

you're looking for the most repeatable position that's easiest to hold. get away from the 't' and you get away from that.

Thx, but why, if i'm hunting in a tree-stand, i can't only move my arms, i need to keep the "T"?

I don't know if you understand what i mean, but if you don't, tell me, i'll try to explain it differently.

Tanks

Francis

You can keep the "T". Bend at the waist, not at the shoulders when you're shooting down from a treestand.

Still hold the "T" and bend at the waist. This will ensure youre still holding the "T". By bending at the waist and holding your form you wont feel the need top drop your bow arm

Consistancy, bone/muscle alignment (this could have a real effect on follow through). This also includes head poistion (which also needs to be consistant).

Other possible inconstancies include torque andanchor. I'm assuming you use a compound, so your eye/sight picture could be inconsistant shooting level/down/upward angles.

Keeping the "t" will keep things consistant.

Another way to shoot downwards instead or along with bending at the waist includes dropping the front knee. Bending at the waist may have an effect on weight distribution FWIW.

If you have more interest for excellent shooting form, I strongly recommend the book: CORE ARCHERY by Larry Wise.

A phenemonal book, After very page read, I was becoming a better archer..

I'm reading it for the 3rd time..

Pick it up, its worth it !

When you get your ancor and form right , with dialing in your draw length , you will have a T form , and everything is just easyer , if your draw moves an 1/8 of an inch either way you will know it .
