Default arrow spine question

me and a friend are looking at the easton evolutions (340 series 10 grains per inch). but there are over spined according to the chart...
we are not looking for any more speed (yes i have my zen in speed 245fps is fast enough). is this a big deal??? also the total out of round .004 compared to xx78ss 2314 i shoot now is out there. how bad would my grouping open at 40-60 yards? i like the 2314's but the diameter is large and the carbon would be a nice change....i know there are more expensive straighter ones out there but not that i want to lose more then $20 out in the woods per shot. thanks for any thoughts or information.

Go for the Eastons most people shoot overspined anyways,I do! under spined you can have tuning problems and it could be dangerous, if they group ok don't worry about it, if you want to shoot a heavier arrow, shoot it!.......good luck

I see nothing wrong with it. you might find that a heavier tip may improve accuracy with an overspined arrow. I also do not see a problem going with the next size down if you go with a little lighter tip so you keep the spine stiffer. either way you should be fine.

I agree that the Easton chart seems to be overspined slightly. I don't agree that shooting overspined arrows is the greatest thing in the world. We are talking about aluminum and carbons here, not cedar. To me it is very important to find the correct arrow that will papertune bullet holes while shooting through the centershot of the bow. This is not an easy thing to do, however, when you find the correct arrow spine that will do this, your bow will shoot the most efficient.
