My Vectrix came from the factory served and I will have my string on my Tribute served where it comes in contact too.

I have had one served on my 05 Allegiance with a STS and I will have my Drenalin served once I put on Meanv2 CSS.
Is it recommended that you serve the string where they make contact or did you do that "just in case"?

I had it done and noone told me to do it. Just makes sense to me to guard the string from the high speed slapping and it might help quiet the noise too.

MeanV's instructions say to serve the string.

I must get one. Is MeanV on here too or just archerytalk.com?

How much does he charge?

He's just on AT... his thread where he's selling his string suppressors stays at the top of the classifieds section.

$44.00 for a color matched camo to your bows' camo color. Cheaper for black.

They work! You just have to find the sweetspot as to how it performs best--some bows you'll need a small gap between the STS and the string and some bows work better with the STS pushing on the string slightly.I love what they do for noise and string slap prevention but do they really need to charge as much as they do?

Considering the rest of my setup is close to a grand altogether, I didn't think $44 was too bad

Do they quiet the bow? I am getting mixed answers, some say they make it louder some say just the oposite, the $44 is peanuts if it does what it claims.
