Default Whats the difference?

What are the differences in quality between say a 400.00 and a 700.00 bow. What can I look for to see 300.00 worth of better in a 700.00 bow?

Craftsmanship, materials used, engineering, the list goes on. Does an expensive bow kill a deer any better than a less expensive bow? Absolutley not, but it may make shooting said bow more enjoyable.

I agree with every word. Bargains are out there, but there is always a difference. Silly saying, but if a 300.00 bow would be worth 700.00; then it would be 700.00. The biggest differences I notice is hand vibration and noise at shot. Of course speed comes into play, but that is a slippery slope. I look for a quiet bow, personally. It seems to be the cherry on top when all the other factors come together nicely. I would suggest buying a topline 05' or 06' model. The mathews outback and the bowtech patriot are phenomenal bows that no one mentions anymore, for example. You can get these loaded and affordable if you don't mind driving a used car.

Well there is not much. But some might be faster then others and easier to pull back even thought they have the same draw weight. One might be smother in pulling it back and the other might be quieter. That is about it,really that is not much.

It's like cars. Getting 400 horse power out of a 350 is pretty easy and inexpensive but getting600+ horse power out of that same engine gets very expensive and time consuming.

That's the same with bows. Getting a bow that is quiet, gets good speed of about 300 - 305 IBO, has a decent brace height of 7 inches,etc... is relatively easy to do today. But getting one that shoots 320 - 340 IBO, is evenslightly quieter, with a slightly longer brace height, and vibrration freegets very expensive to engineer and manufacture.
