CENTER SHOT ON TRYKON????
CAN ANYONE TELL ME THE CENTER SHOT ON A 06 HOYT TRYKON?
I AM HAVING TROUBLE W/ BROADHEADS SHOOTING W/ FPs.
I USED THE WALKBACK TUNING METHOD TO FIND IT BUT BROADHEADS HIT 4-6 INCHES TO THE RIGHT.
I ALSO READ THERE MAY BE AN IDLER LEAN ISSUE.
ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.

RE: CENTER SHOT ON TRYKON????
dwd,
I figured out the problem....top cam is leaning at full draw.
I had the same problem w/ my switchback.Idler lean...
Since the yoke is a floating type, the cam lean will always be a problem??!!
I spoke w/ the local pro shop and they knew of this problem but did not tell me. Their answer is to serve the yoke together or get a replacement non-floating type.
Have u had this problem and why does Hoyt supply a floating yoke???
I served the yoke and twisted it ut so the top cam is straight at full drawbut have not had a chance to shoot it. I'm really diaaspointed w/ Hoyt for putting a floating yoke on the TRYKON.

RE: CENTER SHOT ON TRYKON????
dwd,
I followed the advise of the local pro shop and served the yoke closed.
At this point I drew the bow to check the lean of the top cam. It had a cant just the same as when the yoke was floating. So into the press it went and a few twists on one side and untwists on the other and the top cam was now straight up and down at full draw. This appears to be the critical factor on most single cam bows.
I then set the centershot using the "walk back tuning" method and what do you think happened.??? My broadheads will now hit the same spot as fps out to 40 yards.
The center shot was never the issue ...it was idler lean , or in the case of a Trykon , the top cam.
I actually used the "Vince Method" I used to set the lean on my Switchback and the results are the same.
Who'd a thunk it????
Thanks for your input.
