Pup,
I've shot all the Bowtech's line, because my brother in law has started selling them and all are speed demons and smooth as heck. The tech29 was a dream to shoot but it was to short for my tastes. So I went for a Patriot for hunting and the Pro38 for 3d's the reason I went with two bows is that I got sick and tired of resighting for my broadheads and then for field points. But try all the diffrent bows that you can and get what you can afford.and what fits best for you because you'll be shooting it.All the companys out their have their pros and cons. on the bows. The biggest plus that the bowtechs have is their draw stop adjustments where you can fine tune your draw lenghts and they have mods. that you can put in without replacing the cam like the mathews are. But remember you get what you pay for.Hope this helps you out a little bit.

Pup, my Wife has the Tec 29 and shoots it better than anything she has had in the 18 years she's been shooting. She shoots 54 pounds and has a 26 inch draw and with a 315 grain arrow it does 254 fps. She bought a Parker Ultralite 31 in March and couldn't shoot it very well with a lot of left and right misses. She then got the Tec 29 and didn't shoot it more than 20 arrows before she said she wanted to sell the Parker which shot 18 fps slower. Give the Tec 29 and the Mighty Mite a serious look before you buy. There are going to be many choices in the BowTech line up for 2003.

My suggestions would be as follows....

Bowtech Patriot (not sure about the adjustability of the dual cam though so you may want to stick with the single cam version), or Mighty Mite

Mathews Q2 or Legacy

PSE Enforcer

Hoyt Razortec or Havoctec

Darton Mag 33

Fred Bear Epic Extreme

Buckmaster G2 or G2XL

Hope this helps some.

pup, take a look at the BowTechs. I use a Mighty Mite for hunting. It'll stack arrows at 40 yds, when I do my part. At hunting ranges, it's automatic. It's quiet, fast, & easy to draw. I've shot what I feel are respectable 3D scores with it. I'm no Jack Wallace, but can shoot 270s with it in HC. If you want to shoot 3D and hunt, I think the 2003 Pat DC would be a good choice. I have one on order. CAN'T WAIT FOR JANUARY. Good luck.

Phil.

No offense, <img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle> but that is a tired, old, worn out cliche. Completely untrue in many cases. If this was the case, all you would have to do if find the highest price tag and then buy that one. There are clearly manufacturers that appear more efficient and offer a better value and there are models within a line that are a better value. Typically you pay more for a very successful manufacturer and especially for a new or successful model within that manufacturer's line. In my opinion, it takes careful consideration if you want the best value. If you simply want the best, and price doesn't matter, then go with what you feel meets that criteria in the features that are important to you.

pup, BowTech's draw length is changed by a simple module change.

They offer 6 different modules (6 inches) on their Infinity single cam, 5 different modules (5 inches) on their Dual cam (which will be 6 for the 03 Dually) and their Rascal cam 7 different modules (7inches) of adjustment.

In 2002 all but 3 bows in the line didn't require a bow presss to change the modules since all the screws could be accessed without one. I'm certain the same will hold true for 2003.

The new Hoyts have 2.5 inches of draw length adjustment on the standard Cam and a Half and no draw length adjustment (without adjusting the letoff) on the Spiral Cam. The draw length adjustment ranges overlap so you could realistically have two bows that would fit a 28 or 29 inch draw length.

Thanks for the info on the dual cams Pat.
