fletching your own vanes

RE: fletching your own vanes
You're still using too much glue, it just really takes a very small bead....Besides, you are going to get a little overflow out the sides, nothing you can do about it.... Don't worry about wiping the excess off......Unless it's big globs..

Yeah, that makes it difficult....w/ your next tube of glue, try to make the hole in the tip as small as you can and still get glue out.....Don't squeeze the tube very hard. In fact with mine, once you get the glue flowing, I don't squeeze the bottle at all, it just runs out, slowly. It takes some practice dude, it's not as simple as it sounds.....You'll get it though, just don't get too aggravated w/ yourself.

Killzone,
Try putting 5 or 6 dabs of glue along the fletch then spread out evenly with the tip of the bottle or with a toothpick. As far as wiping off the excess, after I fletch a vane I let it set for a minute or two then I use the corner of a lint free rag starting at the top of the vane and I wipe in one quick motion to the back of the vane trying to keep it right along the edge, works for me.....geo
