Feathers with aluminums?

RE: Feathers with aluminums?
Do any of you have experience using feather vanes with aluminum arrows?
I have used vanes in the past with my compound.
Formy longbows and recurves, I pretty much use aluminums with feathers exclusively. I think I have tried pretty much every shape out there and like a banana cut about the best. But I use parabolics for hunting as they are the quietest shape out there IMO.

What I meant to say was feather fletching.
I realize that feathers and vanes are two different creatures :-)
I am considering some aluminum arrows with feather "fletching".
The reason for this is I have a short draw and to get the right front of center balance, I really either need lighter fletching or heavier heads, which I don't want.
I've had a dozen ACCs that have lasted for several years but are almost gone, using just a couple a year on deer, but they have gotten too expensive.
I really want to go with aluminums over carbon.
