The arrow charts don't add up for me ! Help
I have a shaft selection issue I need help resolving. I am currently shooting Carbon express shafts. They are the CX select 3-D 400's. According to the charts, they weigh in at 8.6 grains / inch. But I know I am way over spined. The chart says I should be shooting a CX200, which weighs in at 7.0 g/i. Spine's of both are unknown.
The problem is that I am swithcing to Easton A/C/C's. The chart calls for 3-49 shafts @ 8.8 g/i with a .390 spine.
Now, According to the Easton chart, and comparing that to the CX select chart, the weight of my 400's would be right CX = 8.6 , A/C/C = 8.6. But the charts say I am over-spined. And if I wanted a lighter arrow, could I shoot an A/C/C in the 7.0 g/i and be ok? Like I said the CX chart says I should be in a CX select 200.

55 lbs. - 28 1/2 inches - Blazer vains - 100 gr. muzzy 3 blade.
But I have already plugged the numbers in, and that's the problem. The Easton chart says 3-49 for the A/C/C's. But the Carbon Express chart says 200's. The A/C/C's come in at 8.8 gpi with a ,390 spine. But the Carbon express shafts come in at 7.0 gpi with an unknown spine. I was shooting the CX 400 's and was way over spined and they came in at 8.6 gpi.

If you are switching to the A/C/C's the 3-49 spine should be fine.
And don't worry about the weight, it has nothing to do with spine. It may have a little to do with FOC but as far as spine, the weight of the shaft has nothing to do selecting which shaft you need.
