RE: How many shoot one pin!
I use one Tritium pin and have it sighted in dead on at 20yds and it works great. It's anexcellent setupfor my type huntingwhich is from a treestand with shots30yds and closer.I have it mounted on an old cobra bracket witha 6" extension. It's not fancy and it's not pretty but it's very effective andgets the job done.

im considering it. i have 5 pins on my sight. but my top pin is dead on from 10-20 yds. a touch low at 20 but REAL close..no reason to gap shoot because then its higher then lower. then i have a 25yd pin and 35yd pin. they are all so close together that if i didnt have 2 seperate pin rails i wouldnt beable to have them set like that. i call them 15-25-35. but like i said im pretty flat to 20yds. 25 is probably an inch low. 35 i did notice a big drop, but my pins still arent far apart..thats what keeps me from going with one pin. ill have to measure but i aimed with my 25yds pin on the top spot on my target and hit the middle spot. thats how i came up with my 35yd pin. if i had to guess off hand id callit 6 inches low...but loosing 6 inches in 10yds?? hmmm maybe its less..i dont know i know arrows loose gas quick....and i shoot feathers..but i think ill stick with my pins for now. 15-25-25

I probably could for 90% of the hunting I do as my shots are typically under 20 yds. But I leave all 4 pins on my sight because I practice out to 50 yds, and my holdover at 30(my max) is too much for my comfort level.

4 pins for 3D but will remove 2 for hunting season. 20 yard pin is good for 0-30 yards. 40 yard pin will remain in case I get a perfect shot opportunity in the wide open. Best shot I ever made was at 37 yards, hence leaving the 40 yard pin on, though almost all of my shots have been 20 yards or less.
