How many shoot one pin!

RE: How many shoot one pin!
Keep it simple.....I've shot single and multiple. I truely feel unless you huntout west and may take some longer shots (40 yards) the single pin rules! I have a single pin adjustable HHA Optimazer. I sight it in for longer distances for fun. Hunting season comes around and it gets set at 20 yards and doesn't move. My self imposed shot limit is 30 yards....just too many bad things(out of your control)can happen after 30 yards. Its really a simple system.
I am running into more and more hunters going to single pins. Many are setting their pin at 25 yards. I'm going to play withthat alittle this fall. Todays bows are so fast and that may be a better overall setting.
Good Luck!

I only use a single pin HHA 5500 and I personally feel it is perfect. I can slide it up and down for longer shots when messing around. I got it marked at 25, 40, 60, 90 yrds for messing around but when hunting or 3D I put it on 25yrds and leave it there. My allegiance is shooting 305 fps and is only about a 1" high at 20 yrds and less then 2" low at 40yrds. I only shoot 1 deer over 30 yrds in the last 20 yrs of bowhunting so I think it works great for me.

I have a one pin adjustable sight. I have marks for 20, 30, 40, and 50 yards for when I shoot 3D, when it comes to hunting season, I set it at 25 yards and leave it there. I can pretty much aim dead on and hit anything from 10 to 30 yards in the boiler room.

RE: How many shoot one pin!
I shoot a single tritium pin set at 25 yds. I only hunt whitetails from treestands and I make sure that all my hang ons are 20' to the platform and the rope I pull my bow up to my climber with is also marked for 20' so everything is always consistent in that respect. After many years of hunting and telling myself during practice what exactly I am going to do prior to taking a shot and in the heat of the moment getting all hyped up and forgetting to do everything I said I was, I realized that I need to make everything as simple and foolproof as possible. So these days it is one pin, no peep - only a kisser and I still manage to screw it up occasionaly. But isn't that the challenge that keeps us bowhunting?
