Been reading alot on wraps. Just want to get opinions on benefits and negatives of wraps. As usual all input and advice is welcomed...

Looks great, you can get creative, easier to see in flight, easier to see blood on depending on the colors your wrap with or crest with.....

i like them. they seem to bond better w/ feathers/vanes and they are easier on carbon shafts when using the quick set glues. they also help you see your arrow and only weight a few grains. plus they look cool.

good luck

Looks and ease of replacing fletchings mostly. Can add a small ammount of weight if ya need for your foc weight.
But in my experiences, looks.. lol And they do look good...

Well is sure does enhance the appearance of your arrow and adds an extra 10 grains of weight.
However if you have to replace damaged vanes--let it be known the work starts there. As there's no way you can do that without destroying the wrap and also there's allot more cleaning to be done.

I replace one vane all the time w/ my wraps. It's really not difficult, especially if you fletch your own. Clean it off as much as possible and install the new fletch in exactly the same place. Nothing to it. I will say, though, that if you do need to replace a wrap, it's not difficult, but it does take a little time. But it truely isn't hard at all.

And I though I was meticulous--I couldn't clean hardened glue with a knife without nicking the wrap and I've never tried cleaning the glue with a solution either. Hats off to you buddy!!!

Gotta wrap! If for no other reason than the look! Makes getting vanes of easier too, but I did it based on looks for the most part.
