MY NEW Tribute---She's FAST
Went and shot my new Tribute testerday and chronoed it.This the first Bowtech I have owned.
First Arrows I shot were @ GT UL 400 cut @ 27.5 inches,3 shots accross the chrono were,305,308,300 thats @ 68 lbs draw.
Then we cranked it up to max lb's 81 pound draw(Pulling this bow at that is a real gut buster,I have to work up to it).
With a Easton AXIS 340 cut @ 28 in. weighing 411 grs,we chrono @ 330,327 and 330 FPS.
This was all done with ,no loop,no peap.
We did have a rest WB droptine, and we were shooting off the string, and the hush kit was still on,and 2 nocks and a kisser button.
I plan to put a Rip cord fall away on it and a Trophy ridge 10 pin sight,or the Fuse Monarch 6 pin.
This bow is super fast, super quiet, and super sweat.
I plan on playing with it some more, but my goal was a 400 gr arrow @ 80 lbs to make 320 FPS and this has passed that, but after a peep and loop it should be real close.

RE: MY NEW Tribute---She's FAST
Very impressive numbers, but no big surprise coming from a BOWTECH
What was the draw length set at?
Man,we are talking about some serious K/E here with an 80# bow shooting 320
P.S---what did the GT UL 400's weigh for comparison?

RE: MY NEW Tribute---She's FAST
Draw is 29 inch, and the Gold Tips were a little to light(a tad to short)325 gr they should be 340 gr. for the draw weight(68).At 81 lbs I could go down to 405 gr,but I'm happy where it's at.
I only shot about 1/2 a hour,my arm was getting tired so I quit, next weekend I will have it fully set -up and we will see if it hold it's speed.

BBJ.
IMHO for the draw weights both arrows are under spined.
For 68lb you should be using the 340's and for the peak weight you should be usinga 300 spine arrow
They will be a little heavier but that will only improve your KE without slowing the bow down too much

Aussie,
I'm planning on going with a 300 spine arrow, the arrowsI used were just laying around the shop.
I could use some coments on arrows,I was thinking of Gold Tip Pro Hunter ADV camo 75/95? I'm having problems beliving the Pro-shop guy,he keeps pushing 55/75 or 340 spine arrows at me.
What about vanes? I was thinking about 2.25 VaneTec's 4 of them set @ 90*?
Give me some Ideas.

Take a good look at the Easton AC Super Slims, the Full Metal Jackets, Axis,ACC' 3-71, or the new ST Epic in 300 spine.
Gold Tip the Pro Hunter 7595 or the Expedition Hunter in 7595.
For target you could go the Gold Tip Seriess22 Ultra light Pro or Ultralight Pro both in 300 spine with the series22 being a fat shaft or several Easton arrows.
Or you could go to full Allum. arrows
Not exactly sure if I would go for a 4 vane fletch tho it would depend on how well they fly.
I have no experience with the Vanetec vanes so I can not comment on them.
Probably cause that is what he has in stock and wont have to place a special order
Too many arrows too little time

Ausie,
Won't I be way under my 5 grains per inch with GT UL 300's ?
I was just looking at the Easton Epic's,might have to take a closer look.
Thanks

Ausie,
I should have mentioned this is strickly hunting, and I have atarget bow already a Mathews Switchback that I bought last year.
This bow I'm playing with seeing what I can get out of it and trying diffrent stuff on it.

Congrats I can't wait until my Allegiance comes in....I'm shooting ACC's...381 grains and according to most, I should be getting around 313....28.5 inch draw, 70 lbs....I'll probably shoot the bow at 68lbs. Can't wait.
