I also really like the BCY ML6 wax.

When I make strings and they are on my stretcher, I apply wax to all the string- end servings as well.

And when its time for a rewax on bows I'm shooting, I'll put a bow inadrawing machine so that I can wax the area of string thatgoes around the cams too.

That's a good idea about the drawing machine. I was wondering if I had to go through all the hassle of taking the string off to wax the serving that goes around the cam. Then I was thinking if I took the string off then I would have to retune. A major pain just to wax the entire string.

I was going to make a weekend project out of building a crank board and this gives me even more reason to do so.

Thanks for the info gibblet. I'll be trying some of that wax as soon as I can find it.

Arthur, been hiding under a big rock I guess...........but never owned a Hoyt. I admit to not reading every thing in my bow manuals anymore. Just the how-tos on draw adjustment, draw weight adj., things like that.

I have never waxed anything other than the string part and have never had any problems with the serving going around my cams/wheels. I'll be using that method on my new bow though.

its a contraption that holds your bow at full draw for you so you can do things like check cam timing, limb deflection at full draw, and wax your cables.

oh, and coug, if the spray got you 2fps it would spread around the archery community in about 10 minutes and people would be soaking their strings in liquid silicon and hanging them from a basket under a full moon in october.
