Default BK II

Have recently purchased a BKII and really like the bow. I have a question for the experts on arrow flight. The bow is 70#, 29 inch draw lenth, string loop and release. Shooting gold tip hunters 3555 27.5 inch and 125 gr heads. According to their web site these are not underspined and the foc is ok. The broadheads hit about 8 inches left of where the field points hit. I've tried thunderheads, muzzy, and phantom fixed blades. The fixed blade heads plane fairly bad which is not surprising and the thunderhead and muzzy shoot the same. I don't think it is a tuning problem as the groups are good, the broadheads shoot left. Is this a common problem. I've never had a bow, that when tuned, didn't shoot broadheads and field points the same. Would it help to switch to a 100 grain head with these lighter arrows? Any comments would be appreciated.

They are WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY underspined.

Goldtips get a bit soft at the upper end of their spine range as is.

I would be shooting the 75/95's at that draw weight and your draw length, even with the 27.5" arrow.

Those cams are FAST...they like a stiff arrow.

Hehe.....Funny the only thing I would add diferently than Jeff or Pat are more &quot;A&quot;'s and &quot;Y&quot;'s to the word way. <img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>
Seriously.....throw the gold Tip chart in the trash to begin with and remember the BKII is off the chart for a 70# bow.

These guys are all right! I shoot PSE 300's out of my 60# P38 dual cam. These are too stiff, according to the chart. Redline 460's are OK, according to the chart, but shoot like crap. The PSE's group much better at all distances, especially past 25 yds. Even Redline 410's don't work as well. It seems the dual cam BowTechs like a stiffer arrow. I even have better luck with the PSE's with my Mighty Mite, past 25 yds.

Ok I too just bought a BK II, I am @ 71#, 30&quot; draw, & shooting a 29.5&quot; ACC 3-60 with a 75 grain tip. Are my arrows correct? The Achery Program says yes. Also looking for a good no peep sight.

Alright, since mez post is the set up I am looking to shoot next year what about the beman matrix arrow. I believe I will use 100 grain muzzy or razorbak if they get them right by next season. Will this work for the spine of the arrow?

You must be way off on spine or center shot . When I got my bk2 and got it tuned it slamed broadheads and field tips in the same hole every time , a pleasent surprise as it has taken me alot of fine tuneing with other (one cam) bows and some of those still will not group together no matter what I do . You might try bare shaft tuneing out to about 15 yards . Bob Ragsdale calls this the spine test and you will have a hard time getting it right if your spine is off .You might try beman matrix 460 or acc 3-71 for a quality arrow those came out spined corectly from the archery program . The goldtip you are useing are off the chart on the underspined side .

IJ,

Actually the 460 would be waaaaay underspined as well (that's the same spine as a 2213)..perhaps you meant the Matrix 340 or 300? either that or the program you used is incorrect. 3-71 might be a bit stiff, but will work fine.
