Default new string - do I need one and which one??

I have a PSE Dakota (2 years old). I had some tuning issues with it this past year and string creep/stretch was a possible reason. Do you think I should get a new/better string for it? If so, what string should I get??

Thanks fo rthe info.

For the money you can not beat a string made by gibblet on these forums. I would recommend the 452x they do not seem to creap at all. Send him a pm you wont be disappointed. Just as good as winners choice and half the money. You can get custom colors, just about anything you want. link to his ad http://www.huntingnet.com/forum/tm.aspx?m=1308475

Nope,That's as good a price for strings & cables as I have seen.

The 452x string material is the best choice for most of us. It is supposed to be slightly slower than 8125 but with no creep and low fuzz.

Pre Streched 8125, I think it is safe to go with a new string, if you have kept it in good condition it could last a little longer, but you would need to twist the string to achieve proper specs, ATA and BH etc. and then it would shoot good again. Gibblet makes good strings also "Crackers" on AT, if you want to go with someone like Vapor Trail too, thats works! My string is made by Twisted Archer Custom Strings (Jamie Shaw) awesome guy to deal with, mine is pre streched 8125, but he can do most materials out there. I have not had the peep move since I set it up, awesome serving too. PM if you want some info for his strings. Hope this helps!!
