Default Which line of bows should i go with?

Looking for some help on decinding which line of bows to purchase. I am wanting top of the line in speed accuaracy and performance. I checked into parker, golden eagle, the new hoyts even look nice, but I'm not the biggest fan of hoyt. I would be using the bow mainly for deer hunting not really into target shooting. Any help would be great thanks

Check out and shoot a bunch of bows before you decide. One will feel the best and have great performance, but you don't know unless you shoot'em!

I shot a bunch this spring and decided on a Bowtech Patriot.

PRACTICE....PRACTICE....PRACTICE......SUCCESS!

JD,

Best limbs, limb pockets, tolerance, finish and looks.
Go with Merlin and don't look back.
Nothing else compares. :^)
For hunting - Lite Storm, Quest 35, or Max 2000 with Profusion Carbon limbs in Sherwood Forest camo is the way to go.

Merlin. Accept no substitutes!

Seriously, alot of this stuff is personal preference, however I have found that altho there are a bunch of "good" bows out there today, there are very few "great" ones. (I have been involved in this industry for close to 35 years, and have seen and sold alot of bows! ) Things to look for are---overall construction,(machined) attention to detail,(what little things do they do to go "above and beyond"?) fit and finish,(gotta have great tolerances, no 1/8-1/4" gaps and slop which relates to poor accuracy and undue wear on components) limb composition and manufacture, (Preferrably carbon laminated or fusion glass, Merlin and Barnsdale are currently on the top of my list. Never buy splits IMO, except for the Hoyt 3/4 limb, and NEVER with a solocam! Cam lean becomes a definate reality!) overall geometry and shootability, (I never recommend a bow with less than 7" of brace height, and nothing with a radical reflexed riser or cam or cams with 80% let-off) and finally, customer service and warranty. (what good is a bow with a poor warranty, or if they do have a warranty, have no-one that cares to send parts should they break, or if they do, wouldn't you like them in less than 6 months? These issues arise everyday, even tho we never think about them. You should.) Based on these things, again, there are darned FEW "great" bows out there. (Most everyone here knows who I feel "does the best job") Hope these points help you! Good luck in your search! Good shooting, Pinwheel 12

Sag, Maybe you didn't read the post completely he said he wants speed accuaracy and performance not the Best limbs, limb pockets, tolerance, finish and looks...LOL... I owed you that Sag....

JimDub, I'm just having some fun with Sag so don't pay attention to my playing with him.

I don't know where your from but I suggest you go to a big pro shop or shops and try out as many bows as you possibly can. All makes and models and then you can form your own opinions on which to buy or which not to buy...
If you're at all interested in BowTech email me and let me know where your from and I can email you a list of all the BowTech dealers in your state. (BTW I'm sure all these dealers carry other brands you can check out too).
In case you weren't aware until Oct. 31st BowTech is offering a $50.00 Factory rebate on all new bows with the exception of the Rascal and TomKat which will receive a $25.00 rebate.

go to some shops and shoot some bows. Dont take someone elses word. What works for them might not work for you. See what YOU like, then spend YOUR money on a bow that fits YOU!

BowTech Shooter,

I knew you wouldn't be far behind, lol.
You got me pretty good, I admit. Hey, we do what we have to do to push our favorites.
Now, where are the Hoyt and Mathews fans ?

I'd echo the 'shoot a bunch' comments & would also say shoot the Patriot from BowTech last.

That way you won't have to go 'back' to the shop to buy something!

Aim small miss small
