hoyt hunter needs help
2001 hoyt vortec hunter dos anybody know any thing about these bows, i just bought this used, and would like to hunt indiana whitetail,is this a good setup. 29 inch draw at 68lbs, versa cam zr200 limbs, quick tune 3000 rest scott realease with loop.pro doinker stab. trophy ridge nitro extreme sight, xx78 superslam select with 100gr4 blade muzzy heads, 230fps thinking of changing to carbons,how much speed would i gain, or is worth it. please help

My guess is that by going to carbons you would probably get somewhere around 20fps more, depending on which carbon arrow you choose. That's a nice set-up you have, and 230fps is plenty fast for hunting. The Vortec is a great bow, and with the set-up you have listed, should be deadly on deer! Good Luck

Indiana. season came in on oct. 1 been seeing some good bucks ;;;;;;;;;;;;;;hope everyone shoots the BIG ONE;;;;;;;;;;;
