Yep, spray paint is definitely the way to go... I started offbypurchasing a real dip tube from a traditional archery supplier, and tried it four or five times. After hearing that you could just simply spray your arrows to get the cap, that's what I've been doing ever since. They look great, and no mess, no hanging them to drip-dry, no stink... and the spray enamel costs like a couplebucks at Wally World. A few bottles of Testor's paint from the model car section in the toy department, some Duco glue from the hardware section to fletch with, and you'll be good to go!

Did you go and buy a "real" cresting machine or make one from the internet plans floating around out there? Sounds as though you bought a commercial one if you have a video that came with it...

yes, i'm embarrassed to say i bought the bohning kit (i do get a discount in my defense, but nothing like i could have saved if i made it myself).
