Insert Glue

RE: Insert Glue
If you are looking for a tough insert glue get some Bohning Powerbond. I have had the inserts pull out of other shafts while using the other glue. I glued an insert in a Gold Tip XT with the Powerbond several months ago. I set it down on the bed and picked it up the next morningthinking that I needed to glue it in. I saw that there was an insert in it already. I grabbed some pliers and tried to pull the insert out. It would not budge. I then got help from my brother. He grabbed one end of the arrow and I grabbed the insert with the pliers. We pulled as hard as we could. After a few minutes I realized that I had already glued this insert in.
The only downside to the glue is the price. It costs about $11.99 for an ounce. Although this is expensive, it is worth every penny.

RE: Insert Glue
I ordered some bohning powerbond online along with some shafts and field points. I got my shafts and field points, butthey put the glue on backorder [:@] I finally broke down and used some superglue gel on my new arrows, and so far its holding up well.

I recommend hot melt glue. It is a much better glue than epoxy. It also allows you to heat the point to spin the insert to get a good spinning broadhead.
