How to find center shot

RE: How to find center shot
gibblet, if you use the recommended spine arrow for the weight and draw length you shoot there is NO better way to not only find center shot, but to fine tune your setup. Most people don't take the time to tune their equipment. They just switch from fixed broadheads to mechanicals or change their sights to zero in their broadheads when the field tips and broadheads don't impact at the same point. If you learn to bare shaft, you're tuning problems are a thing of the past. Oh and when you are hunting 1,000 miles from home and want to check your tune up. You can do it in the field with little problem.

ewolf, If you can't center shot tune with bareshaft, you don't know how to bare shaft tune. Period. Center shot, tiller adjustment can all be done with bareshaft tuning, IF you know what your doing. Oh and in your step back method you are partially correct. For a right hand archer, if the "C" is the left move the rest to the left, if the "C" is to the right, move the rest the right. Diagonal to the left, the arrow is weak, to the right stiff. Like I said you have to know all the facts.

RE: How to find center shot
The correct spine arrow will hit the same vertical line at all distances while the incorrect spine arrow will not.
Point weight will effect the dynamics of the arrow, a light point will have less flex on the arrow then a heavier point will. Hence the actual flex or spine of the arrow will be different depending on the head weight used.
Correct center shot for a bow will also be affected by the amount of tension from the cableguard and the stresses on the bow limbs from the cam leans as well as the type of release and shooting form.
Good luck hunting! >>>------------>

sniper, i'm not sure i know how to do everything with a bare shaft, and that was kinda my point, this fellow was asking how to find it, and walk back is about the simplest method there is. specially considering you can tweak your setup to shoot arrows that aren't quite a perfect match for your set-up quite well. if everything is perfect i will believe you that bare shaft works. but what are the odds of that with someone asking how to find centershot?
