fletching removal........
i'm changing over my acc's to install blazers, any special tools needed to remove the old glue off the arrow? i would hate to start peeling away the carbon layer. i see various catalogs sell a tool for removing fletch for about $24, but it says nothing about carbon arrows.

I use a dull swiss army knife. I scrape the majority off with that (dull so as to not cut into the carbon) and then soak a paper towel w/ pure acetone. I rub the shaft with the acetone which dissolves quite a bit of the leftover glue, and then scrape again anything that is left. Then I rub again with the acetone soaked paper towel and let dry. Repeat as necessary.

ridgerunnergunner,
used the same concept as rick james except i used goo be gone from home depot, and i to dulled the blade of a old pocket knive and it worked perfectly!
with a little patience i was able to strip off old fletching and clean off the glue in around 30 min.for six arrows.
