Sounds to me that your nocks were already damaged or have become brittle. And the arrow breaking is a sure sign of either a previously damaged arrow or a severly underspined shaft.

Nocks were maybe fired 20 times and less then 2 months old so wasn't brittle, can I say beyond a doubt they weren't damaged? no but the odds are way against it,I'm to careful on that part and the arrows were 2315's @ 29" and I'm shooting 65lbs so not undersplined, thanks for the answer though cause I am really puzzled.

Well, that does seem very strange.

Do you have any enemies? [] []

I would still suggest you check these arrows and nocks very carefully before shooting them again. It would seem that something would have to be damaged somewhere for that to happen. Maybe try a new set of nocks.

Who knows maybe you just got a bad batch of arrows and nocks??????

Replace the nocks and rule them out.
I don't see where the bow could be the culprit, unless it's so fast it's splitting the nocks! j/k

You've got my curiosity up though, I've got some old 2315's in a box, I wonder how they'd scoot through my Pat?

Hey Dave,They seemed like logs after using carbons .only reason I was trying them was all of a sudden I was getting lousy flight and was looking for a reason.

hmmmmm-------Are you shooting off the string with a release.?----Do you have an eliminator button on the string.,I am just guessing if this is the case, you are pinching your nock causing it to break.
Are the nocks being forced onto the string?--maybe they are to small(tight)
If this isnt the reason then you got me beat as well

Pinching could be the culpert maybe.I am shooting with a loop on my string and it does have a narrow gap due to shooting carbons with their itty bitty nocks and the alum. had the reg glue on nocks ????

Just spread your loop apart a smidgen by nocking an arrow and then forcing the gap open with the nock. I doubt that will cure your problem, but it will widen the gap enough to eliminate pinch as a culprit.

Now about your lousy flight, did you have good flight before and now it went south?
What kind of rest are you using?
Has your string or cable moved (stretched, creeped, elongated- whatever the term is )?
