Certainly the accuracy of aluminums is something carbon arrow manufacturers strive for. On the other hand the speed of carbons is something that aluminums will probably never match.

You won't find many top 3D shoooters that use aluminum, but aluminum is very popular in hunting circles and target shooting where the distance doesn't have to be judged.

Pure carbon vs pure alluminum , Ill pick alluminum . accs are great . I had good luck with the terminators allso , for a short time , untill I shot the spine out of them , every other type of pure carbon Ive tryed would not group . If they dont hit the same hole , or are atleast within a 1/2 inch at twenty yards they are junk to me . Allmost all the carbons Ive tryed are like 3-4 inch groups at twenty yards .

carbon, they are faster and will be more accurate farther

I agree with and shoot aluminum XX-78's. Shot carbon and do not care for the results. For price, safety and consistency, a premium aluminum arrow is my choice. Many hunters are returning to aluminum with the majority of carbons being sold to the 3-D shooters.
