Default Anybody Tried 4 Blazers vs. 3 Blazers?

I have read a few articles saying that 4 vanes stabilize the arrow better but was just wondering if anyone had tried the comparison with the Blazer vanes? I have been using mechanicals and wanted to try some of the smaller profile fixed BH like the Slick Tricks or Ironheads.

I think 5 Shot mentioned it in his last review. It's in the bowhunting forum under quickspins. First page, for me.

G2,

If you try out the 4 Blazer fletching, please let us know how it works out for you. I like the Blazers quite a bit, but I'm using them in a 3 fletch arrangement with a 2 degree right off-set.

Sounds like I just volunteered to do some research. LOL
I just made up 3 arrows last night with the 3 vane arrangement. I will make 3 more with 4 vanes this weekend. Hopefully I can get some testing done next week and let you guys know.

I shoot 4 blazers, for several reasons. Better control of bigger heads is one of them. I also like 4 fletch as you don't have to worry about how you nock your arrow.

5 shot, don't you use a fall-away rest? If so, you don't need to worry about how you knock an arrow with 3 vanes, do ya?

My personal rest of choice for hunting is the Whisker Biscuit. For my test bow and one back up bow I like to use some fall aways though.
