? about arrow choice for Ultratec
I was wondering if someone could suggest an arrow size for my ultratec. I am shooting it at 65-67 pounds, 29 inch draw, string loop, and 100 grain tips. I have a 2004 xtec, and just got the 05 ultratec. I had some problems trying to get a bullet hole using my carbon express 3d select 300's with the xtec. I have heard that the cam 1/2 likes a weak spined arrow. I like the cx shafts, and was wondering what your opinions are? I will use this bow for 3d and hunting, and would like to keep it as close to 400 grains as I can get. I would really appreciate any suggestions on arrows, and some tips on the cam 1/2 tuning. Thanks to all.

RE: ? about arrow choice for Ultratec
I have an 03 Ultratec that I shot CX 400's out of before I tried the Axis arrows. I didn't have any trouble tuning it with the cx shafts (67-70 pounds 28.5 inch draw length, 125 grain heads 29 inch arrows).
It is a nice shooting bow. Be sure and report back to us how it compares to the Xtec.

Gold Tip Pro Hunter 7595 cut to 29" 100gr tip will spine perfectly for your bow at 29" draw and 67#
Total arrow weight about 410gr.
My buddy shoots this exact setup out of an 05 Ultratec and has perfect arrow flight.
I shoot the same arrow at 29"/72# out of an 03 Razortec and it drives tacks as well.
Essentially you are looking for an arrow with a spine of about .340 or there about. Cut to the same dimensions and tip weight as above, you should get good arrow flight out of a good quality arrow.
