RE: all you hoyt guys...
What limbs are on it right now?
Im assuming they are either the xt2000's, intruder glass limbs, or possibly the zr200 limbs.
Changing limbs is as easy as finding out what deflection you will need for your new poundage and buying the limbs. Installing them is cake, and if you have a press and general knowledge you can do it yourself.
The cost of the limbs is gonna vary, if you order them direct through Hoyt/Reflex, expect to pay A LOT ($200 and upwards). But if you try to find limbs in the classified sections of bow-sites such as this one and archery-talk, you can probably pick up a set for around $80-$100.
Next question is, which limbs are compatible with your limb pockets. If you have xt2000 or zr200 limbs, you can use any of the different split limbs from hoyt/reflex. Except you may have to change cam sizes to have the same draw length with a different limb. Example, you have zr200's on your bow, and you buy LX limbs you will need a smaller cam because of the longer limbs.
Basically its best to stick with whats on your bow, if you can find the proper deflection in that limb style at a good price, go ahead and buy it...Infact you may be able to trade with someone wanting 50-60# limbs.
So, first find out what limbs you have on the bow, and post back. If you still want to make a switch, post it in the classifieds on a few sites, and keep looking, there are tons of limbs floating around out there. (Just make sure you get the right deflection #, just because its a 60-70# limb on one bow, doesnt mean it will be on your bow)
Lastly, as the others stated, there really isnt any need for more "umph".
What you have there is plenty....If it were me, Id honestly stick with the 50-60# limbs.
Have a good one, and good luck finding limbs if you choose to do so.---<Matt
