Squirrel help!!

Default Squirrel help!!

I got a squirl to day. i want to mount it my self, this will be the first timenot only for taxidermy but cutting a squirrel. i will be ording a Squirrel mounting kit from Van dyke's. what eles whould i get(tools and suplies)? like i said this will be the first of many

there are a lot of tools you will need.that being said , there are a lot you already have around the house.you will need a good knife.those razor knifes you get at homedepot the little plastis orange ones.you can use spoons and kitchen knives and other things.
using the razor knives, be careful or you will cut through the skin.if you can get a veido and see what they use and you will see what you need.
there is not enough space to tell you all you will need in the futher.

good luck,one thing,if you mess up on the squirrel you can always get another.

I would say to just do a google search. The only squirrel I've ever mounted I did all at my house without any other materials...and it shows. I have the top half of it mounted so it looks like its coming out of a piece of wood, its arms outstretched. It looks like a demon though because I let the hide soak too long and it kind of detierated so theres some holes in it.
