Jashoffa, I'm resigned to having to go to eastern washington to check out different breeds of dogs. There are hunting clubs for upland birds there where you may 'rent' their dogs. I doubt I will get a lab. It wouldn't be fair to the dog if I just want to upland bird hunt :P. Hopefully, next year I'll have a place for enuf space for a dog if everything goes right. I did say I'm just researching now.
Roost, I'm on the west coast, Washington State. You know, where all the old 60's beatniks go to retire. When the nation was celebrating Desert Storm with parades, we were holding protests. 5th in the nation in government red tape. To get a FFL, you pay federal $150, state application of $150, and the local police application of $150 and renewal fees... Ouch I fell of my soap box...well where's the application I have to fill out to get hurt?
