RE: BuddysMom
As an answer to your question... you may find this hard to believe, but Buddy has learned the boundries of the farm, and the yard, and he knows where the street is... etc. He knows he is not to go beyond a certain point, period. He knows not to get in the street. I honestly do not know why he follows the rules so explicitly, but he does. He knows where the border is, and that is where he stops running, no matter what. He is an exceptional dog. I am training another one now, and hoping that the time he spends with Buddy will teach him all the things that Buddy has learned. Perhaps I just got one really smart dog, which he is, and just got lucky... or maybe I did something to train him to be that way, I don't know. I guess I will see when this pup of mine gets a little older...if it is just me, or the dog's ability to learn... or maybe both. But at any rate... I do not have to worry about Buddy at all.
Oh, and if my teenage boy is as good as Buddy is, then I might just trust him enough to let him run free (within laws!)
And thanks for the "good luck" in school. I do need it. It is tough, but I am giving it my all. Being newly married and trying to finish my degree is tough... I might survive.
