Do you have a wal-mart or some other store like that around close? Take your dog out near the entrance/exit of a store that has a lot of foot traffic. I guarantee ya that there will be a lot of people want to come over and say "HI" to the puppy. Experience is a great teacher.
Heck, take them to the hardware store, they usually let pets inside, or the feed store, or the tack store, or the sporting goods store....anyplace that lets dogs in.

Keep a baggie of sliced up hotdogs in your pocket, and when someone wants to pet the dog, make the dog sit, then have the person pet and feed the dog the hotdogs.

Other places...Little League baseball games, or soccer, football...whatever.

Thank you all, you've gave me some good ideas and good point
wildlands it's something to keep in mind ( about the animals rights
and all that stuff ) And also in Maine most store will not allow animals of any kind in them as most even the hardware stores carry some amount of food supplies making it against state law.

You do not have to go in, just stand by the front door. Work on the dogs training sit, heal , down. Allow people to come up and great you so the dog gets use to this and thinks it is normal.
