How much can I hunt her
Well, I come home yesterday from work, and I see my two dogs (a boy and a girl) "stuck" together. Really quite comical, sorta. Charlie is looking at me with a pitiful, painful look on his face, and Sooner, doesn't know what to think. She is in heat, sooooo... in another 62 days I will be having the stork drop by with who knows how many little Redbone/Walker/Bluetick cross pups being dropped off. I guess the part of the fence where I had Charlie chained to came loose, and he got over to Sooner. I have a couple of questions.
First, I don't know how long these two were stuck together, but I startled them a bit, and they came apart. Charlie was in some pain, as everything would not go back in as it should right away, just like the last time he tried to get her, and everything came out, and he didn't know what to do (this was in September while elk hunting), and skin folded back on itself, so I had to help him along, just like the vet told me last time. After everything was where it should be, he seemed perfectly fine, so hopefully there shouldn't be anything wrong with him.
Next, How much longer can I hunt Sooner, or should I keep her penned up until she hatches?
Finally, how do I get ready for this new delivery? I have never had a dog with pups before, only my sisters cats that insisted on hatching under my bed right below my pillow. And these are outside dogs entirely, so not sure what to do. At least I know how long it will be I guess.
Thanks for the help.
Marcial
P.S. - I tried to keep the details to a minimum, didn't want to get too graphic, sorry if I did.
