South Carolina Hunting
I am relocating from Pennsylvania down to the Columbia South carolina region. I would appreciate if anyone could give me an idea of what the hunting is like down there. Is there any areas to start seaching for land to hunt and what species are available to hunt. All that i know so far is that south carolina has long seasons. Thanks

RE: South Carolina Hunting
mjw176, Hello
I live here in Columbia and can tell you a little about the hunting. Deer season is long(aug15th-Jan1st) lots of time to hunt. It will cool off around oct, which I think is the better month to hunt and nov. You will have lots of bugs and snakes still moving around and heat,in the early season. There are clubs, game management lands. You can still hunt,Dog drive for deer and hogs from Columbia on down to the Low country. If you Bow Hunt, you will have a lot of game management all to yourself durning bow season. There are some nice Deer taken, but a lot of the Deer are smaller than where you are from. But we have all you can stand!!! Hope this helps a little. Hawg man
