Chuck, So.on Main Grade to Tanic Grade.....No.on Tanic Grade to
Richlom fence . The roads use to be very good but don't know about
now. There was a wooden bridge over the creek before the Richlom
fence. That was my area! Chuck it does't matter if I post it here, it's
better for others to know were you are in case you get hurt or get
your vehicle stuck some where.

For Turkey, Main Grade to Tram Grade. Turn Right on Tram and follow
it to Vehicle Parking. Walk untill you cross the wooden bridge and keep
walking untill you reach the river, which is more of a large Creek at that point.
Everything across the fence is the Overstreet Ranch.

Thanks,
I've been to the second place. Thank you very much. If you ever want to go hunting just let me know. I made friends with the next rancher east of that property. The Swamp has changed alot this year. Dozers have up graded many of the fire-lines and there have been lots of burn offs. there also appears to be more hunters than I remember. Workdays are always best. Do you know of any other good management areas in Florida. I was thinking about trying Eglin airforce base or Black water ot something.

Chuck,
I went to Three Lakes for a couple a years and took an 8pt.
Thier camp ground was big enough for Travel Trailers.

Go east on Hwy 60 to YeeHaw Junction, turn Left, North on 441
pass Kenansville. You can gas up there and buy ice if needed.
The WMA will be 11 miles North of there. The entrance road is
Williams Road on your Left. It's about 53,000 acres.

Bull Creek WMA is that area too. Not a bad spot, and it wasn't as crowed at Green Swamp, at least when I went last year. There's also the bombing range at Avon Park. Also heard great things about Fish Eating Creek. Don't know anything about it though.

Hope it helps and good luck. I'm headed off to Alabama and GA in just a couple of hours. Have to pack clothes and the truck and I'm off. Yeeeeeeeee Haaaaaaaaaa.

We're the only ones on the leases who turkey hunt. Just gotta love it.

Thanks I was driving through there with an Audubon member last year. An eight point ran across the road in front of us. I was trying to find a snail kite. We saw the endangered Whooping Cranes but no Cara Caras or Snail Kites. I 'm trying to get a certificate from the wildlife folks for identifying 250 birds in Florida. I'm 47 shortLOL
I plan to give it a try and congrats on the 8 point.

Mr. Rebel Hog,
Thanks again. I just got done reading the brochure for 3 lakes. There are 3 main entrances. I've been on the Williams Rd entrance before . Have you ever been hunting off of the entrance off of Highway 60. It would be 25 miles closer. The other entrance is off of Canoe Rd, but I'm interested in the one off of 60. The area looks small about 2 miles by 5 miles. They only allow 200 hunters in on the 60 entrance. I'm a pretty serious birder so I plan to go hiking /scouting there this summer. I noticed that the hiking trail goes right through the middle of 3 lakes .Can hunters huint where the hikers are ? I didn't notice any boudaries for hikers only.
Thanks for the imfo.

Chuck, the entrance from 60 takes a different quota permit.
Besides It's smaller and to swampy. It's good for Duck hunting.
