I can't wait for bow season to start. It's the best time of the year. I'll be hunting Fort Knox again this year. Where are you hunting.

bill, have you hunted Pennyrile before? I hunted it last year and missed a big 10 pt. I was kinda lost, because the 3 areas that I scouted were all closed for logging during the quota hunt. That was the most rediculous thing I have ever heard of. Have a two day hunt...close one area to start logging the first day of the hunt. Well, they wouldn't let us hunt there, even though they got rained out????

Didn't look like many people saw deer anyway. A guy across the ridge from me shot a big 11pt. other than that it was pretty boring.

I have hunted pennyrile 4 or 5 times. We used to get drawed every year when it was by permit. I drawed a doe tag 3 years in a row. I killed my first deer in pennyrile in 98. I have seen some huge bucks in there. I think if I don't get drawed I might drive out there and bow hunt one weekend. I havent been out there in 2 years is there still a lot of deer?
